I maybe a bit biased because she is my friend so do forgive me. Last week Thursday we got to experience our first guest writer! Which was awesome! The thing is that you may not know her much so this will be hella fun! Her name is Lucy and she is a fighter in may ways.
I will not go through all the struggles she has gone through. Neither will I go through all her obstacles and dare I say, misfortunes that she may have experienced in her life. No. Today we are looking to the light, as we always do here in the land of positive vibes, love and light! We are looking at the triumphs of this young lady, the victories and the progress she has made in such a short amount of time.
When you look at her new blog here, she seems calm, confident and wise in her words. But she was not always that way. She was mostly in her mind for the most part, in a way thinking that something was wrong with her. That all she could do was what was laid out for her. She had not seen what life had to offer her.
This was until she was challenged immensely. Her comfort zone literally was pulled underneath her feet and she had no choice but to evolve. And my friend, evolve she did. It is interesting though how she went about it. She decided to look within herself and find love and find courage and find strength. She got up from the muddy ground washed herself in the fountain of truth and now she could see.
She is now taking chances and believes that she is right where she is supposed to be. No, nothing is wrong with her. She just had to love herself a little bit more and boom! Her life got better. And by better I do not mean that she started flying in a private jet around the world (though it will happen). Her life got better in the sense that she made her own decisions. She was her own Bawse ( thank you Lilly Singh for that epic book!). It is not that she is selfish, she just finally learnt that when she takes care of herself she takes care of those around her as well.
There are not very many people on earth that are real and honest with there hearts and state of mind. She inspires me to embrace myself even when I make mistakes. To embrace those mistakes learn from them and do better for me. She inspires me to forgive, because there are many who did not deserve the forgiveness but she gave it anyway and embraced them. She has taught me to let go when things do not work out and not to be swayed from the objective. I have learnt the importance of giving my all even when it is not called for from her.
She is also my go to cake girl so there’s a special place in heaven for you my dear. All in all the truth that stems from her is beautiful and led by God. Thank you for doing more than your part even when you did not know it.
Let us all be resilient in the pursuit of what sets our souls on fire! (thank you Pinterest for that quote)
As always thanks for reading and I send you nothing but positive vibes, love and light!
