Hello good people. I am a day late in my posting, well let’s be honest, many days, but regardless I am here now! I apologize for the delay but hopefully in the future (which is today) I will get on a systematic consistent flow.
You see a friend happened to suggest a post that was already on my mind, so this is that kind of a post. The post that the universe and I agree upon. Now, I have been away from the interwebs for a considerable amount of time. Not like Ed Sheeran of course, but considerable for me none the less. So I wanted to share some of the things I learnt about myself and about others. In this post though I will share a bit of what I observed.
Today I got to listen to Lira’s song Listen, if you haven’t do check it out. And it’s about how sometimes everything around us is speaking to us to move and ask questions and grow into the people we are meant to be. I believe that we all have that special something within ourselves already but we are too busy to listen. Listening was the only option I had because I had talked so much through my life already. I decide to sit down, be humble, listen and observe.
First, I learnt that not many people enjoy silence. Silence to some people means calm and peace and to others it means tension and maybe even hate. Let me speak for myself here and say that, I appreciate silence. I actually look for opportunities to be silent. I have experienced so much noise, so many views on how I should be, so many perceptions, that a brief moment of stillness helps me filter out the noise and breed calm, peace, joy and love. What does silence do for you?
Another thing I found out is that life is beautiful in love. No no, I am not in love with any boy. I just discovered that people are more fearless and happier when they have love in their lives. Life to us opens up like a beautiful flower to experiences and light when there is love. Not to say that love only exists in a relationship, it could be the job, the friends, the hobby, the weekend activities, the business idea, the blog, the family. Best of all it could be you to you. People are so much happier even in movies when they find love.
Finally, what I observed is that people have beautiful stories. Some more traumatic than others but still wonderful stories that we can learn from. That we can appreciate what we have more. That will make us more empathetic and also more aware of what goes on around us. Sharing our beautifully flawed stories allows us to build wonderful supportive communities that build us up instead of tearing ourselves down from the inside out. This is why I would like to invite anyone who would like to tell his or her story, anonymous or not, to hit me up on my social media pages. I would love to hear from you and get to share your stories here every Thursday!
As always I wish you nothing but positive vibes love and light! Check out my social media pages, thanks for reading and have a good one!
